These are Full-time 6-month seasonal positions (March-September) that are reliant on wildfire activity providing the workload.

(No experience needed-training provided)

 Location: Kamloops, BC facility.

Job Summary:
•Assist in the setup of remote Mobile Retardant Bases (MRB) when deployed during fire season
•Operate load pumps and mix cans providing fire retardant for rotary wing aircraft
•Assist in the take-down of MRB’s when demobilized
•Assist with the loading and off-loading of tanker trailers
•Operate forklift for the Tanks program
•Perform cleaning & repairs to water relay tanks

Experience:
-Any experience is helpful but not required, Training will be provided
-Experience in forklift operation (helpful but not essential)

Requirements:
-Valid class 5 driver’s license
-Ability to travel on short notice
-Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm when not on deployment. Possibility of working 14 consecutive days followed by 1 reset day, when deployed.

Willingness to Travel:
-Up to 30% travel when deployed with meals and accommodation paid

Physical Demands: -Work is performed both inside a shop as well as outdoors, and will involve walking, bending, and standing for extended periods of time. The use of wash wands and brushes is part of the washing routine, where working with arms extended at shoulder height is a normal part of the process. Manual handling of sometimes awkward packages weighing roughly 50 lbs. is also part of the job.
