POSITION OVERVIEW

The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance and quality control processes at our manufacturing facilities for Phos-Chek® Long Term Fire Retardants and Foams in Rancho Cucamonga and McClellan, CA, as well as our tolling partners across multiple locations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all products and services meet the highest standards and specifications before reaching our customers. In this leadership position, the QA/QC Supervisor will guide a team of skilled quality technicians, implement robust quality control policies, and collaborate closely with other departments to drive continuous improvement in product quality. A key focus will be on elevating and advancing the quality department to new levels of excellence. Additionally, the QA/QC Supervisor will lead the implementation and ongoing management of ISO 9001:2015 within our Management Systems programs, ensuring our practices align with international standards. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in propelling the quality department to new heights. The QA/QC Supervisor will conduct all company-related activities with professionalism, safety, and efficiency, in strict adherence to Perimeter Solutions’ EH&S policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold a commitment to safety by adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself, the QA/QC team, and all colleagues. Participate in safety committees and conduct regular safety and housekeeping inspections.
  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead and oversee the QA/QC team, ensuring the effective execution of quality control activities, including the implementation and continuous management of ISO 9001:2015 within our Management Systems programs. Develop, implement, and uphold quality assurance and control policies, procedures, and standards (SOP).
  • Quality Control Management: Supervise inspection and testing processes to ensure all products, materials, and processes meet specified standards and regulatory requirements. Manage non-conforming materials, verify compliance, and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation. Must be capable of adjusting formulations when reworking materials to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and enhance QA/QC processes to improve efficiency and product quality. Engage in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement efforts, investigate and resolve quality issues, and propose corrective actions to management.
  • Team Development: Train, mentor, and guide QA/QC team members to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge. Ensure team adherence to quality standards and procedures.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Document and present quality reports to management, highlighting issues and corrective actions. Record and analyze inspection and test data to identify trends or issues in production processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices, updating policies as needed to ensure compliance. Conduct regular quality audits and ensure all QA/QC activities align with internal and external standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to address quality concerns. Ensure effective communication of quality requirements across departments and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.
  • Source and implement new quality control software system.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA/QC role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the company’s products/services.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Proficient in the use of quality inspection tools and equipment.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be willing to work over-time when needed
  • Be willing to work alongside Production Operators in Production and shipping and receiving if needed
  • Travel may be required to other manufacturing sites.
