Inventory Lead

Scope: The Inventory Lead is responsible for ensuring the accurate counting and reconciliation of all plant inventories with financial records at period end, covering the Rancho Cucamonga site, off-site tolling facilities, terminals, and airbases. This role also provides guidance to customer service and administrative staff while overseeing and optimizing inventory control processes across multiple locations to support organizational goals. Success in this position requires independent judgment, cross-functional leadership, and strategic analysis to enhance operational efficiency and ensure financial accuracy. The Inventory Lead is expected to conduct all company-related activities in a professional, safe, and efficient manner, in full compliance with Perimeter Solutions' Controllership and EHS policies.

This Position Reports To:  

•    Inventory Control Manager

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

•    Design, implement, and manage inventory control strategies and procedures with Inventory Control Manager to ensure accuracy and compliance across the Rancho Cucamonga site and off-site tolling facilities

•    Lead and oversee scheduled and physical inventory counts, including cycle counts, and ensure audit readiness through comprehensive documentation and reporting

•    Analyze and interpret inventory variances, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams

•    Develop and maintain inventory performance metrics and dashboards to support executive decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives

•    Coordinate and supervise the receipt, verification, and system entry of incoming goods, ensuring compliance with internal controls and vendor agreements

•    Manage ERP workflows including work orders, transfer orders, and inventory transactions to support seamless production and distribution operations

•    Negotiate and manage vendor and logistics relationships, including obtaining competitive shipping quotes and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery solutions

•    Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to support revenue cycle activities and resolve discrepancies impacting inventory valuation or billing

•    Serve as the primary inventory liaison for internal departments, providing guidance, training, and support on inventory-related processes and systems

•    Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving inventory accuracy, reducing waste, and enhancing supply chain performance

•    Champion safety and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards and internal policies

•    May provide guidance to inventory clerks, warehouse staff, or temporary personnel during inventory activities or special projects.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:  

•    This position will be working in a manufacturing atmosphere 

•    Must maintain a flexible schedule, with the ability to occasionally work alternate shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends—to support physical inventory counts.

•    Responsible for dispatching on-call customer orders promptly and accurately.

•    The nature of the business may expose the employee to moderate levels of physical and mental stress.

•    Accurately perform inventory counts in a physically demanding environment with limited space, requiring attention to detail, adaptability, and safety awareness.

•    Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.

•    Must demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills to operate effectively in a collaborative environment.

Experience/Skills Required: 

•    Must have 3 – 4 years manufacturing and inventory experience. 

•    Strong ERP experience 

•    Certified (or willing to be certified) in the safe operation of forklifts in compliance with OSHA standards.

•    Trained and certified (or willing to be trained and certified) in the proper and safe use of scissor lifts for elevated work tasks.

•    Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

•    Must have a positive attitude

•    Must be a team player and have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
