Position Overview: 

This is a temporary role  9-12 months approximately. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of our new manufacturing facility for Phos-Chek® Long Term Fire Retardants in McClellan, CA. This position is temporary and will conclude within 9-12 months.  This role requires a mechanically oriented, seasoned professional with experience in the setup and management of manufacturing projects. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, external contractors, and senior leadership to ensure the project is completed on time, within scope, and on budget.  The Project Manager will conduct all company-related business in a professional, safe, and efficient manner, in full compliance with Perimeter Solutions EH&S policies. 

This Position Reports To: Director of Operations & Supply Chain for the Americas

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are met, and potential safety risks are eliminated.
  • Lead and coordinate the efforts of internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure all project objectives are met.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management, stakeholders, and project teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Commitment to always working in a safe manner and following company policies for your own personal safety as well as those that you work with and instruct.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
  • The ideal candidate would have mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
  • Be courteous and enjoy working with others and treat all with respect regardless of position
  • Immediate availability required.
